TILE FINISHER

Fox Ceramic Tile has an immediate full-time opening for an entry-level tile finisher.
 
Experience is not necessary but preferred.
 
Duties of the job consist of:

• Supplies and mixes construction materials for the tile setter.
• Applies grout and cleans installed tile
• Moves tiles, tile setting tools, and work devices from storage area to installation site
• Mixes mortar and grout according to standard formulas and request from the tile setter
• Supplies tile setter with mortar
• Applies grout between joints of installed tile
• Removes excess grout from tile joints with wet sponge and scrapes corners and crevices with trowel.
• Wipes surface of tile after grout has set to remove grout residue and polish tile, using nonabrasive materials.
• Cleans installation site, mixing and storage areas, and installation machines, tools, and equipment, using water and various cleaning tools.
• Stores tile setting materials, machines, tools, and equipment.
• May apply caulking and sealer using various application devices and methods
• May assist tile setter with the installation of tile. 
• May cut marked tiles to size, using wet saw or tile cutter.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 18 years old
• Valid driver’s license
• The ability to meet the tile setter truck which is typically a 5-20 mile drive.
• Ability to travel for project out of town. Example would be to travel to Wichita for the week. Home on the weekends. Transportation provided and expenses reimbursed.
• Work is typically in the Kansas City, Topeka, Wichita, or Fort Riley area.
